Zenit Basket is a professional basketball club based in St. Petersburg, Russia. The club was founded in 2000 and has since then participated in numerous domestic and international competitions. Zenit's home arena is the Yubileyniy Sports Palace, which can hold up to 7,080 spectators.
The club's men's team competes in the VTB United League and the EuroCup, while the women's team competes in the Russian Women's Basketball Premier League. Zenit men's team has won the VTB United League and the Russian Cup twice each.
Over the years, Zenit has had several notable players on its roster, including Janis Timma, Sergey Karasev, and Ryan Toolson. The club is owned by Gazprombank, a subsidiary of the Russian energy giant Gazprom.
